FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE GRADUATES of a PROGRAM THAT HAS LESS THAN 48 units…PLEASE PAY ATTENTION if you are seeking the LPCC Licensure.

A qualifying degree for the LPCC must contain a minimum of 48 units.  You cannot add units to a 33-unit degree and have it qualify for licensure.  Laura will need a new master’s degree and those who begin their degrees on or after August 1, 2012, must have a 60-unit degree.  You can see an overview of the 2012 requirements on our website:  http://calpcc.org/requirements-after-2012

The LPCC is a rigorous license and it is on par with the LPC across the country and with the LCSW and LMFT in California.
